John and Anne Tait operate a fascinating
little family owned shop in the Melbourne
suburb of Essendon.
New books are so expensive. All of our stock are previously owned. Most are less than $10 each.
Nearly all of our records and CDs are $10 or $5. Singles are mostly $2.
We do buy second hand music and books that are in good condition. We do not pay alot, it may be as little as $5/box. Some boxes are worth zero! But we do not pick and chose as our opposition do. We will take the lot off your hands. We find this arrangement suits most of our customers. If you are looking for big money for your old stuff, we suggest you set up a stall and sell them yourself.
We do not buy encyclopaediae, readers digest books, National Geographic, Mills & Boon as they just do not sell. Better to re-cycle the paper. Classical and Easy-listening records have no value either. Give them to an op shop.
We also have "Mail
Order" services for regional and overseas customers.
We also sell:
Music Videos and DVDs (mostly $5)
Cassettes (mostly $5)
Sheet Music
Record cleaning materials
We can order in a new stylus for your turntable.
Old Music Magazines
